It is not in vain that event tourism is considered one of the ways to “upgrade” traditional excursion routes: the path to the tourist’s heart, if not lying through the stomach, then at least seriously depends on the gastronomic impressions on the spot. Interesting food “with a local flavor” in our time has become one of the opportunities to seriously promote the direction. In this case, it is often a question of quite accessible for every day excursions. And gastronomic festivals are now literally throughout the country. #one. For example, in the immediate vicinity of the Golden Ring, in the glorious city of Suzdal, this weekend ended the festival “Mead Fest”. The festival was held for the third time and does not go unnoticed by tourists – the last time he gathered more than six thousand visitors, and in this he broke this record on the first day .. In addition to the main character of the day, mead, which individual tastings are devoted to, were offered to tourists and more substantial gastronomic pleasures. Thus, the festival was attended by participants of the project “Gastronomic Map of the Vladimir Region”, who treated tourists to delicacies of Russian cuisine from local products.

# 2. The Ryazan region does not belong to the Golden Ring – it is possible only for the time being, however, it is comparable with Suzdal to get there from Moscow. For example, to the north of the Moscow region, in the distant corners of the Volgoverkhovye, the city of Vesyegonsk invites you to the feast – September 22. The cranberry will be the heroine of this holiday – it will be the main product of local tastings, the main task of the culinary competition for the best sauce, etc. In addition, guests promise entertainment such as learning to smoke fish and cooking green cranberry jam. The program includes dishes of Caucasian cuisine in tastings and cooking classes, as well as local folk dances, horseback riding, a show program and competitions for children.

In the North, the “berry” theme will again be replaced by the “garden” theme – in the city of Chagoda, Vologda Region, guests will be presented with the Russian cuisine, which the average resident of the megalopolis knows only from the classics of Russian literature. The festival is invited to get acquainted with “Chagoda – the motherland of gray ears”, the full “titling” of which sounds like the “4th Interregional Multifestival of Culinary Art”. The program promises a gastronomic quest, “Gray soups at the fair, look for”, “gastronomic theater” and a master class dedicated to what it really is – gray soups, and with what they are eaten – that is, how they are cooked.

#eight. Up along the Volga, in Tatarstan, the festival dedicated to the “Russian folk” first dish also passed, the festival “Sviyazhskaya ukha”. The festival will be held on the territory of the tourist museum-reserve “Island Sviyazhsk.” The program includes fishing and fishermen competition, all guests of the festival – tasting soup, as well as quizzes, round dances and children’s entertainment.
